Dr. Robert Schleip是德國肌筋膜研究先驅,慕尼黑歐洲羅爾夫協會( Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation)的研究主任,在烏姆大學擔任肌筋膜研究主任,他探索了筋膜影響肌肉積極收縮和放鬆的能力,長年專注研究在人體筋膜網路的功能上,尤其在筋膜主動伸縮性的功能研究上,在2006年獲得Vladimir Janda肌肉骨骼醫學研究獎,是相關領域的最高學術標竿。
他是物理治療、運動訓練科學、骨療法領域的講師。亦是 “第一屆國際筋膜研究大會 - 傳統療法和替代醫療的基礎科學和影響” 聯合發起人和計劃委員會成員。
他也著作了非常多本有關筋膜處理與運動治療相關的書籍,同時也是全球唯一專門的肌筋膜健身協會(Fascial Fitness Association)的技術委員。他歷年來發表了非常多的筋膜在運動醫學上與肌肉骨科學的論文,同時也著作了非常多運動醫學上重要的書籍,這些重要的概念影響了近年來我們對於運動治療上面非常多驚人的技術改變。(點圖更多介紹)

筋膜形成了由纖維膠原結締組織構成的全身連貫網絡。這個網絡包圍並連接了所有器官,肌肉,神經和血管。雖然在過去很大程度上被忽視,但最近的筋膜網基於新的測量技術獲得了新的科學關注。新的研究結果表示,筋膜組織顯著影響肌肉的力量傳遞;他們也形成了我們身體感知的基礎(本體感覺與內在感知)以及許多肌筋膜疼痛症候群。
Fascia forms a body-wide interconnected network of fibrous collagenous connective tissues. This network envelops and connects all organs, muscles, nerves and vessels. While being largely neglected in the past, the fascial web recently gained new scientific attention based on new measurement technologies. New research findings suggest that fascial tissues significantly influence muscular force transmission; they also form the basis of our perception of our own body (proprio- and interoception) as well as of many myofascial pain syndromes.
本次工作坊首先介紹有關全身筋膜網絡於生物力學功能的新實證醫學研究。這些背景知識將被應用於治療幾種常見肌肉骨骼功能障礙時的新詮釋(符合實證醫學研究)
This workshop begins with an update on new insights regarding the biomechanical functions of the body-wide fascial network. This background will then be applied to a new understanding for treating several common musculoskeletal dysfunctions.

除了從身體工作者的角度來看最前線的研究資訊,此研討會也將有對於不同方法和操作技巧的具體上手指導,以刺激筋膜內不同的感覺受器(特別是Ruffini和Pacini小體)以及提供筋膜纖維母細胞適當的流體剪力以影響其代謝行為。
These include:
In addition to cutting edge research information from a body worker’s perspective, the workshop will include specific hands-on instruction on different approaches and working techniques aimed at stimulating different neural receptors in fascia (particularly Ruffini and Pacini corpuscles) as well as providing adequate fluid shear to fascial fibroblasts in order to influence their metabolic behavior.
這些操作包含在深筋膜(Fascia Profunda,概念類似潛水服)的緻密層、肌肉間隔、以及淺層筋膜底部“表面剪力區”的沾粘。在這些技術中,將引導客戶透過主動的微小動作來參與完成徒手操作,也能因此使組織的運作更明確,更協調,也更能維持。這種微小動作的最佳指引將會提供並整合到臨床課程中。
This will include work on the dense layer of the Fascia profunda (‘diving suit’), on muscular septae, and on adhesions within the “Superficial shearing zone” at the bottom of the Superficial fascia. During many of these techniques, the clients will be instructed to support the hands-on work with active micro movement participations from the inside, thereby making the tissue work more specific, more cooperative and more sustainable. Guidelines for the best orchestration of such micro movement participations will be given and integrated into clinical sessions.

Dr. Robert Schleip's Lecture at the Third International Fascia Research Congress
Fantastic lecture of Dr. Robert Schleip (University of Ulm, Germany) held at the 3rd Fascia Research Congress, Vancouver, 2012. The title 'Alice in wonderland: getting curiouser & curioser' illustrates his journey from a clinician towards the field of academic research. Having been a Rolfing and Feldenkrais teacher for many years, he felt frustrated with the explanatory models he had been teaching and turned in the field of laboratory research. A decade later he became one of the leading figures in the new field of fascia research. His talk gives several examples how this new background has changed his clinical work when dealing with patients as a manual therapist.
